About the series 

This webinar series hosted by the GPSC provides the GEF-8 SCIP cities with a platform to enhance their project design capabilities in alignment with the program’s thematic areas. The webinars facilitate knowledge sharing and learning from good practices, enabling participants to gain valuable insights and tailored guidance for developing sustainable and impactful projects. It also provides networking opportunities for cities to connect with peers, experts, and potential partners and foster collaboration among cities facing similar challenges.  
 

 Overview of the session 

As part of the GEF-8 webinar series, this session explored key lessons from GEF-6 SCIP projects and their influence on the design and implementation of GEF-8 SCIP projects. Drawing on case studies from Peru and South Africa, country teams shared firsthand insights, approaches, and practical recommendations to inform ongoing and future SCIP efforts. By examining challenges, successes, and replicable strategies, this discussion provided participants with actionable guidance to maximize the impact of their projects.
