Mia Callenberg

Mia works for the Global Environment Facility (GEF), where she provides technical, analytical and coordination support to The Sustainable Cities Integrated Program and contributes to the design and delivery of the GEF’s portfolio of integrated programs.

 

She started her career in sustainable urban development at the international architecture firm Foster + Partners in London, working on environmental design and sustainable resource management for large-scale urban projects. Before joining the GEF, she served as a site planner with the UN Refugee Agency (UNHCR) in South Sudan, focusing on spatial and environmental planning of refugee settlements.

 

Mia holds a Master’s degree in Industrial Ecology and a Master’s degree in Architecture and Urban Design from Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden, and from École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Montpellier, France.
