The deterioration of air quality in cities comes from daily activities that modify the natural composition of the air we breathe. Addressing the burning of fossil fuels  and power generation is often a strategy to achieve major impact.

There is evidence of the relationship between increased    concentration of air pollutants and increased respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. This public health problem requires priority attention from governments, as air quality is a determining factor in the quality of life of the inhabitants of our cities and is also one of the main environmental performance indicators.

The webinar identifies those strategies that have proven to be effective in improving air quality and presents some of the challenges that cities face today.  Examples of Mexican cities as a discussion item.
