Laurence Jones

Professor Laurence Jones is a Group Head and Principal Scientist at UKCEH and Visiting Professor at Liverpool Hope University. His research integrates natural sciences, social sciences, health and psychology, economics and policy, working closely with city officials and policy makers to design solutions for urban challenges. He is particularly interested in using spatial modelling and analysis to develop quickrunning but sufficiently robust models to guide decision making on green space in cities. He is the thematic lead for urban-focused research in UKCEH, has developed urban ecosystem service models in a suite of international projects and is co-lead of the RECLAIM urban network-plus focusing on improving the evidence base around green infrastructure in forgotten towns and cities.
