Harriet Bulkeley is Professor and Deputy Executive Dean for Research at Durham University and Professor at Utrecht University. An internationally recognized expert on urban climate governance and nature-based solutions, she leads the Horizon Europe NATURESCAPES project, exploring how nature-based solutions can drive transformative change for biodiversity, climate action, and social justice. Harriet has been a long-standing collaborator with the GEF Sustainable Cities Program and the Global Platform for Sustainable Cities (GPSC), supporting research and knowledge products on integrated urban development, sustainable finance, and nature-positive cities. She has also advised organizations including the European Commission, UN-Habitat, the World Bank, and the UK Government.
