The Global Platform for Sustainable Cities (GPSC) cordially invites you to join our high-level event “Creating a Win-Win: Achieving Urban Growth and Climate Goals through Spatial Transformation”. The session aims to encourage city leadership and development practitioners to leverage a coordinated approach to the challenges of land governance, sustainable urban development, and climate change.

Distinct urban practitioners, subject matter experts, and the World Bank senior management will form a panel to explore the linkages between these three broad topics, showcase successful examples of how various cities have enacted spatial transformation, and discuss how integrated approaches and compact urban development (CUD) can help cities achieve their long-term sustainability aspirations. During this event, the World Bank will launch a major report titled “Chongqing 2035: Spatial and Economic Transformation for a Global City”, which provides strategic direction to the future urban development of Chongqing, the largest Chinese city by area and population.
