Marc Montlleó is Technical Director and Director of Environmental Projects at Barcelona Regional, the public agency for strategic urban planning and infrastructure in Barcelona. Born in Barcelona, he holds a degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona and a Master’s in Environmental Engineering from the Catalan Institute of Technology and the Polytechnic University of Catalonia. 

He began his professional career at Barcelona Regional in 1999, contributing to major environmental and urban planning projects, including the Strategic Environmental Assessment of the Metropolitan Region of Barcelona Territorial Plan, the restoration of the final stretch of the Besòs River, and environmental guidelines for urban developments in Barcelona. Since 2011, he has served as Director of Environmental Projects, and since 2015 as Technical Director. Alongside his professional work, he has also taught in several postgraduate and master’s programmes on urban and territorial development.
