The Global Covenant of Mayors launched the new “common reporting framework (CRF).” Now recommended for use by cities around the world, it provides detailed guidelines for GHG accounting, along with topics such as integrated climate action planning and others. During the session they discussed:
  • The added value of the CRF
  • How the CRF and the Global Protocol for the City-scale GHG Emissions Inventories (GPC) are commentary,
  • How the CRF fit with IPCC Guidelines for national accounting,
  • Which reporting platform for local governments accommodate the CRF.
