This World Bank internal deep dive session focused on two urban modeling tools that have been deployed to advise urban practitioners on how better plan and manage urban expansion in ways to prioritize principles of compact growth, green spaces and to lower carbon footprints. It focused on two case study applications; Urban Performance as applied to select Indonesian cities assess public transit and public space planning and Rapidfire, which was used to assess potential growth scenarios for Chongqing (China).
